Privacy policy

The short version: we collect the information you give us so we can show up at your yard, scoop poop, and bill you correctly. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone except the small handful of services we need to run the business (email, payments, ad analytics). You can ask us to delete it anytime.

Who we are

Scoop, There It Is is a locally owned pet waste removal service operating in Panama City Beach, Panama City, and the 30A corridor (Walton County), Florida. What we collect

When you fill out the booking form on this site (or a lead form via Instagram or Facebook), we ask for:

• Your name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Service address (we need this to know where to send the scooper)
• Number of dogs and yard size (so we can quote you the right plan)
• Service plan you're interested in
• Any optional notes you leave us — gate codes, dog names, special instructions, etc.

When you visit the site (without filling out anything), we also collect basic technical information automatically — the kind of stuff every website logs: IP address, device type, browser, the pages you looked at, and whether you got here from a search engine or an ad. This is used to keep the site running, troubleshoot bugs, and figure out which marketing channels work.

How we use it

The information you give us is used to:

• Schedule, perform, and bill for the scoop service you signed up for
• Text or call you back with a confirmation, reminders, or service updates
• Send a "scoop complete" photo or note when we finish a visit
• Answer questions you email us
• Improve the website (which pages people read, where they get stuck)
• Show you ads that are relevant if you've already visited the site (more on this below)

We don't sell your information to third parties. We don't share it with marketers outside the few services listed in the next section.

Who sees your data (the short list)

To run the site and the business, we use a small number of third-party services. Each one only sees the slice of data they need:

• Vercel — hosts the website. Sees everyone who visits the site.
• FormSubmit.co — receives the booking form on your behalf and forwards it as an email to our inbox. Sees the form data you submit.
• Google (Gmail) — the inbox where booking emails land. Sees the email content.
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — if you came from one of our ads, or you're signed in to Facebook/Instagram while visiting, the Meta Pixel loads on the site and Meta logs that you visited. We use this to show you relevant ads later. You can opt out via your Meta ad preferences.
• Google Ads / Google Analytics — same idea as Meta, but for Google. Used to measure which ads work and to show retargeting ads. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com.

That's the entire list. We don't share your data with anyone else for marketing. If we ever add another service, this page gets updated.

Cookies and ad tracking

The site uses small files called cookies and similar technologies (the Meta Pixel, Google's tracking pixel) so we can:

• Tell whether an ad you clicked actually led to a booking (so we know if it's worth running again)
• Show you a relevant ad on Facebook, Instagram, or Google later if you came to the site but didn't book
• Measure which pages people read and which they bounce off

You can block these by adjusting your browser's cookie settings, using a privacy-focused browser like Brave or Safari with tracking protection, or using your phone's "Limit Ad Tracking" / "Ask App Not to Track" settings. The site still works fine without them — you just won't see retargeting ads from us.

How long we keep it

If you become a customer, we keep your contact and service-history info for as long as you're a customer plus a few years after, mainly so we can answer "did you do my yard last March?" if you call later. If you fill out a form and never become a customer, we delete the lead after a year of no response.

Anonymous website analytics (page views, etc.) are retained for up to 26 months by default in Google Analytics.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

• See what data we have about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your data entirely
• Stop sending you any kind of marketing

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any "sale" of personal information. We don't sell personal information, but you can still exercise any of these rights by emailing us.

Kids

This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you're a parent and you think your kid signed up for pet waste service without your knowledge, email us and we'll delete the entry.

Security

We use HTTPS across the site, store passwords (where applicable) hashed, and limit access to the booking inbox to the owner. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't store more data than we need and we don't pass your info around carelessly.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material — add a new tracking service, change how we use data — we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For big changes that affect existing customers, we'll send an email.
